Things you wish you could say

My niece's boyfriend's name is spelled Schuyler. I did not know this and when my sister mentioned his name through text, I asked if she already had a new boyfriend. She said no, same one. I was so confused.

It's pronounced Skylar. I've called him "Shoe-lur" ever since. I mean that's how it's spelled. 🤷‍♀️
That's how the Schuyler sisters' last name is spelled in Hamilton

And illegal in the states unless you have a Federal permit.
I see a lot of recipes online that basically mix vodka or everclear with root beer extract, I assume this is not the real way? When I read this I imagined a bunch of beakers and tubes in a shed, but it seems like people put this all in crock pots now.

Don't know if it is any good but

The stuff from the Hires Root Beer kit was good but it my have been changed over the years since they are no longer allowed to put Sassafras in it.

When i was growing up back east, Sassafras tea was good. I dug my own roots.

I was reading up on how to create my own ginger bug too. I was about to look up how to grow sassafras and if it would grow up in OR. I have plans for so many plants up there.

The ginger bug looks pretty easy.
