Things you wish you could say

Y'all are invited to my house on April 8, 2024 to watch the next total solar eclipse, which is going to be visible RIGHT OVER MY HOUSE! :celebrate

(it really is going to be visible here, but please don't everybody show up here, I don't really have room for you. But I WISH I did!)

The path of totality will hit quite a few of us, actually. I'm glad I'll be out of work and can see it

You're going to LOVE IT!!! I was very fortunate in 2017 to live directly in the center of the path of totality in 2017. Only my sister came to see it; we set up lawn chairs in the back yard and had our eclipse glasses and a bottle of wine ready. It was very incredible to see! It wasn't pitch black, but more like a dark twilight with a glow at the horizon all the way around us. The stars came out, and yes, the chickens went to roost.

My husband was on the road with a livestock trailer full of our cattle headed to auction. He had to drive 2-lane roads through the thick of the visting viewers, jostling for parking space all along the sides of the country roads. So he had a bit different experience! In the image below, our house is the yellow bullseye:

This year, we are still fortunate to be within 90% of totality, so I'm going to do it again! I wasn't aware until you posted this, so THANK YOU!!!

You're very welcome, spread the word!

Wedding registries are antiquated.
If you've been out of your parents house for any good length of time, you should have most of this stuff on your list.
P.s you don't need half the stuff on your stupid list, this is for your friends and family to help set up your home, this ain't going to Santa.

Same for baby registries. Those $25 a pop organic onesies are going to be stained by the first blow out and outgrown in 3 weeks.

I love it when people make pop cultural references. I can see in the audience faces that they missed it.

Oh, don’t get me wrong. I miss the newer ones.

Stay tuned!
Same Bat channel!
Same Bat time!

Until then, Happy Trails to you!
Until we meet again.
To the moon, Alice, to the moon!
It lifts and separates!
Kiss my grits.
Lucy, you've got some 'splaining to do.
It's not nice to fool Mother Nature.
Reach out and touch someone.
Not your regular sized weiner, but still able to satisfy.
How many licks does it take.....
Hey hey hey, it's Fat Albert!
Well, isn't that special. Bless your little heart.
My bologna has a first name, it's ...
Two all beef patties ....

... just a few of my favorites. Some of them you can't say anymore!!!

Bonus points if you can remember the whole Oscar Mayer OR Big Mac jingles without cheating!
