Things you wish you could say

Another one that seems to do well is girls cutting hair. I pay $20 for a trim that takes her about 5 minutes and then tip her 5-7$

I was looking at my credit card statement the other day that my teenage son is an authorized user on and he had $62.99 for a haircut. I went to his room and asked him about it. He had also got a shampoo, and tipped the girl more than the haircut cost. He said it wasn’t that much. I said are you crazy! I told him to skip the shampoo, he can do that at home, and tip her $5. He says, “but dad, the shampoo feels soooo good and she is so pretty”
Oh, well, carry on son, but tone it down just a tad, please.

I wouldn’t even pay that much lol

True, and so many of them now do what they do which is split equally between the waiters, cooks, hosts, dishwashers etc..

Young men can do well with waiting, too. Work those cougars, boy
Male, female, attractive, not - do your job - I observe whether you are overworked or not - perform well, and I tip well.
I hated being a waitress. while being fake nice -
I wouldn't last a day. The Princess early in our marriage was a waitress. She does not know how to do 'fake nice'. One day after interacting with a table of lawyers, the boss's wife fired her. The boss immediately rehired her as she was walking out the door and told the lawyer's to find another place to eat in the future.

Exactly! We once went to a popular place that was very busy. (We weren't expecting that level of busy, but decided to stay and wait for a table anyway.) The waitress was very attentive, on top of everything, and pleasant to boot. We left a 25% tip.

Thank you all for your condolences. :hugs Where everyone at work was worried about being laid off, I came up with the idea that if the boss fires us all because he did not make a crap ton more money than he wanted to (he still made a crap ton of profit, just not as much as he wanted to), then we are going to help ourselves to his toiletries and towels. Let him pay to replace all of that because he does not want to pay his employees even minimum wage. It is not like he put in money for security cameras or anything, so why not? 🙄💸
OK, since this was still being discussed I had to go back to the beginning....

Does that mean he isn't paying it or he is but doesn't want to?
Is this in NH?
Looks like they don't have a state minimum but go by the federal's minimum of $7.25?
If he's not even going by the federal's minimum seems it would be pretty easy to get himself into trouble.

The most pleasant thing about me is that I can get people to laugh. That is it. I am not good-looking or thin, my voice is rough from smoking since I was 12, and I am gimpy since my roo stuck me in the kneecap with a 2" spur.

We had one good day of tips; we got $35. It all went in the gas tank because we were on empty. Otherwise, a temp housekeeper has been going through the rooms and taking any tips that were left for us, and the boss does not care. I told the housekeeping manager that I am more built for retail. I can people like my life depends on it. And no matter what kind of venting I do here, I do not steal (staining brand new towels and crap by using them to wash up vomit and soy sauce? Well, that is a whole other can of worms, and my petty ass is ready to drop to that level in a heartbeat), but no, I do not take what is not mine, or what has not been offered freely.

He is not paying it. He can, but he does not. His resort turns a profit every year, and he pockets that profit. He does not even put it back into the resort! Peeling wallpaper, broken tubs, beds that collapse in the middle of the night, and broken faucets are not something someone should deal with if they have spent $500+ to stay in a small room with half of the amenities closed down.
