UNH has one, but it is a mere 14" telescope. The one I had found had an 18".

There appears to be a new one in Dublin, though. You have to make a request through the astronomy club to go. This was not a thing when I started looking for one years ago.

To be fair, that's 14" more of telescope than most people have.

UNH surprises me sometimes with their tech. They outrank Dartmouth in terms of equipment in some places.

To be fair, I am very anal about the clarity of what I am seeing. I do not bash their 14" one, but I wanted bigger.

(My sole focus was on Saturn, and I wanted to see everything I could possibly see.)

I am at a mile high elevation. I am not on a mountain.

I've never been to Dublin (or the original one) but that sounds worth going to.

Barely. Yours are all old and worn down by wind and water. I've lived at elevation higher than Mt Washington.

Wow. And Lonesome Lake, Bridal Veil Falls, and Belknap Fire Tower all gave me a roaring headache from the elevation. I am made for the ocean, not the mountains. But still, if the word Mount is in there, it is a mountain!
