Things you wish you could say

True that, but smoking it would probably kill you even without all those.
There are multiple factors at work such as a shorter expected life span but prior to the additives in tobacco, there is little to no evidence of smoking tobacco being harmful. After they started adding all the "extras" is when lung cancer started being a problem.

Lord have mercy, I've been to reddit and people are STUPID.
The animal husbandry subreddits are horrid. I like Reddit for video game questions, I often find people who've found and fixed the same weird glitches I've gotten stuck on, but the animal subreddits are the absolute worst. They give the worst advice, and it results in so many sad outcomes. I've unfollowed most of them because its so frustrating.

On the way to a field trial in upstate NY, I saw a sign advertising 'organic firewood'. Seriously?

This is one of those things I would just be quietly hoping to myself that it was satire...

Wish I could say I knew what happened to my upper wisdom teeth. I know I had them in 2021 when I was still seeing my last dentist, but according to my newest x-ray from my new dentist they were extracted at some point, and I have literally no recollection of ever having anything extracted in my life. I feel like I would remember if they were removed, not the procedure itself necessarily, but like, going to it and being told they were doing it?! Surely, they can't just take them out without you even knowing??

People seem to have some weird mental blank spots about wisdom tooth removal. I know one person that woke up from anesthesia and said (through a mouthful of gauze) that she couldn't go home, because her wisdom teeth hadn't been taken out yet. I know at least two people that had experiences in the first few hours that they didn't remember afterward. I know I had my own wisdom teeth removed, but I don't really remember anything about what it was like afterward.

Like you, I have a hard time believing that they were extracted with you having no memory of it at all (planning for it, recovering afterward, etc.) But I also have a hard time believing that wisdom teeth could just vanish. Or that the x-ray is wrong. So that's a real puzzle.

Can you contact your previous dentist and see if they know anything?
Check back through dental insurance and medical insurance, to see if you find anything there?
If you live with anyone (parents, spouse, roommate, etc), maybe ask them?
Is there any record of you taking time off work or school?
An old calendar with appointments written on it? Email talking about it?

Exactly why I'm so confused about it. Also I've been living with my partner and his senior parents since 2020 as well. Even if I forgot somehow, one of them definitely would have remembered.

I found my copy of my x-ray I had when my son was about 6 months old, so I can definitely confirm I still had them in December 2019. My current dentist is absolutely lovely and always points out every little thing on my x-rays because he knows I'm nosy/curious which is how I even found out they're gone now.

My previous dentist isn't practicing anymore as far as I know, but I've been trying to track down where he went if he is. His clinic is definitely closed. Not sure if he just retired or left, or what is going ont here. No one remembers anything other than the set of 3 fillings I had to get in 2021.

I haven't gone down the rabbit hole yet of figuring out if maybe my insurance knows anything. Its on the list of stuff to do after I get everything sorted out that I was actually in for this time. The entire situation is just really weird to me. The only thing I can think of is that maybe when I got my fillings done, he also took my wisdom teeth for some reason, but I feel like I would have noticed and remembered the recovery at least?! My partner is going full conspiracy theorist with it and has a few wild ideas about it.
