Ugh! I hate being called "sweetie" by the person who takes my oder at a burger drive-in, too. Am I your child? Your little sister? Your lesbian lover? No, I am a 72-year old customer and I expect to treated with respect. You may call me ma'am, thank you very mch.

If someone tries that with me, I’ll throat punch them like @tripletfeb

The fact that people think roosters lay eggs. I know that not everyone is obsessed about chickens (like me) but it's common knowledge people!

I don't know why that bothers me so much, but it felt good to get out!

Oh yes. It is one of the indignities of old age. On the other hand I am not above exploiting the assumption that I am a benign and essentially helpless old ‘sweetie’!
