Things you wish you could say

C/S: I bought this thing a year and and a half ago, the hinges are getty creaky, can I switch it out for a new one?

That was 3 managers ago.
Yes. we had to honor it anyway. Gave away an $800 item because the customer abused the last one.

I used to work at Costco. The amount of Christmas trees that were returned in January still boggles my mind

Luckily, we only sell small Christmas decorations.
However, when the rodeo rolls around, anything that's remotely 'rodeoish' is bought up, then returned after the rodeo.
I'm glad we don't sell camping equipment.
 
Takes practice. If you can't say it right off, start eith, "let me think about it snd get back to you." Then think of polite ways to say no. Like, "I wish I'm could, but..." Or, "I'm really sorry but..." Some day you'll graduate to "Are you out of your ..." Lol
