Things you wish you could say

I would also add look up the breeds they're considering, even if it's just a quick search to see what their temperament is usually like, how well they'll do in their climate, their productivity and if they have any special consideration people would save themselves a lot of trouble. Sure, every chicken is an individual but knowing if a breed tends towards flightiness if they want a docile breed or if a breed doesn't bear confinement well if they can't free range is very good to know beforehand
amen. My library book got me "Storey's book of Poultry" I order 3 each of 8 breeds, pullets only. After my wife died I just gave all my chickens away. (wish I hadn't now) But I've started up again. Right now I've got Java chicks that I know aren't huge layers but it's just the two of us so we don't need an egg every day. Even with the few we have now we get enough for us, some to donate and some to sell.

Oh you have one? I just saw an ad for one this morning. I am genuinely curious, what does it do?
Mine is a Phillips Sonicare. The box it came in said I should download the app for it. It supposedly helps you track your brushing! You're supposed to brush for 2 minutes and the brush makes a sound when it's time to move to the next area that needs to be brushed. Honestly, the stuff they come up with! I didn't download the app. I've been brushing my teeth long enough to know what to do.

It was about indoor chickens.
I wish I could say people would stop replying to those threads. Once the OP starts angrily reacting to every sensible thing said, it’s time to be done with them. These threads always always get many of the same people replying to them, saying the same exact thing. Just stop feeding the trolls. Don’t reply! It’s that easy!

I knew they were going to have a hissy before anyone answered, it's ridiculous.

This is the world's largest gathering of poultry oriented information, don't be shocked and angry when we don't validate whatever trend or misinformation you decided was more important than good animal husbandry.

I really hate that my generation and the generations younger just get animals because they can.
Ok. Imma need a link. PM me please
