You could try a decoy owl. You need to move it around every day or the hawk will figure out it's fake, but I've had good luck with mine.

It'd probably just end up spooking the chickens themselves. Not like I free range much anyways so I'll wait it out

easily but just not my style. I said I would so I will.
Legit probably 1/2 the people that work there miss more days then they work. I've averaged 1 day missed per year for 12 years so...

Not sure how much of it's honor and how much of it is I'm too broke to afford a day without pay. I got a kid and chickens to feed.
