Things you wish you could say

I called amazon support, but didn't want to call animal control because I would hate for the dog to get put down for a minor bite. I believe amazon will be getting information from the customer about the status of the dog's vaccinations.
Well of course the dog's owner is going to say the vaccinations are up to date, what else would they say? An authority needs to see proof.

The dog will not get put down for this. It will be quarantined for 14 days until it shows no sign of rabies then be returned unharmed to the owner. And the owner wiil show proof of current vaccination and all will be well. But if the dog bites again, then there may be consequences like fines because there will be a history of the owner harboring a dangerous animal.

Follow up on this and make sure the dog has been rabies vaccinated. :hugs

While I believe the owner when he said that the dog has never done this before, this is good advice.
This dog could bite a child in the face. You reporting it could prevent that.
Good point.

Amazon was pretty good about following up with me on the dog that came OVER a fence to attack me, and that one didn't succeed in biting me. I will follow up, though.

It's actually quite shallow, but I am keeping a close eye on it.

Yeah, it stings, but other than that, it's minor.

As soon as I got home I gave it a good wash with soap and water and applied antibacterial ointment.

Not one of the neighbour's dog, but a dog on my route today. It was my first stop. They guy was out playing fetch with his dog, I delivered the package, took my picture and was leaving when the dog barreled up to me and nipped me.

People, if you're expecting a package, lock. your. dogs. up. They can be the friendliest beasts on the planet, but if a stranger comes up to your porch, they may bite.

That's awful. We love our Amazon delivery folks. The dogs stay inside.

Get that checked out. I hope you heal quickly!

Rabies and tetanus. Both can kill you. Most ERs will administer them for free (rabies is more than one shot).
I would want 100% confidence that the dog was up to date on rabies shots to not get them myself if bitten.

I wish I could be honest with my family and friends about what I want in life, when it comes to work at least. I was surprised to see myself enjoy my current job but I had to realize I truly do not work well with other humans if it is on a daily basis. I love interracting with others online but in person it is so so sooo exhausting to have to talk to multiple people multiple times a day, every single day from Monday to Friday. I am obviously way too introverted for this. :th

My partner and I became official home owners last Friday, it was so exciting! I still tear up when thinking about it. We are happy to start working on our first home but the long distance makes it a bit difficult. It has been bugging me for years but after signing everything and going to the empty house again I just cannot ignore how much I crave to move in with my partner and work from home. I want to have my new flock of chickens already, I want to get some ducks too, potentially quail as well, perhaps a few rabbits, a dog, some cats, I want to build my dream garden with raised beds, I want to work on my book(s) in peace and do my occasional translation work for extra money. I want, I want, I want! :barnie

It's so frustrating not being able to express this to my family because they immediately tell me to wait, to be patient, telling me I really shouldn't just quit my job, etc. And the worst thing is? I know they are right. :barnie We need all the money we can get, we need time to renovate, to get everything ready, and even then I obviously won't quit my job and not search for a new one, but still! I just wish I could tell my loved ones what I want, what I pretty much always knew I wanted but know I likely won't achieve in this lifetime.
