Nah, he was staying with my dad’s friend because I was in the hospital for 3 weeks and just got out yesterday. But now he is going to be staying there because I will be moving (potentially) and he can’t come with. BUT! Thankfully he is with a family friend so I can visit him still.

I wish I have courage to ask people - why are you wearing face mask?

Yesterday I was quite baffle at seeing a lot of people wearing face masks at the shop, I have not hear anything that require it. I know I have been avoiding the news lately, but my friends and family would have tell me about it....

Flu going around down there? Lots of folks here masking up, either to keep from catching or because they're polite and don't want to spread.

We are at the end of our summer, the weather has been extreme at both end. I am not aware of any flu that going on...but it might be I just don't know. I have checked the news website and there isn't an mention of it.

You might be right that flu could be going on, we do have flu in summer too.

Face masks keep people from sharing their own germs with anyone else, not vice versa.
So, if you're not sick, just afraid of catching the nasty upper respiratory virus going around, a standard face mask won't help. Don't wear one. If you are sick and need to keep other people from getting your germs, still don't wear a mask. STAY THE HE** HOME AND LET THE REST OF US STAY HEALTHY!

That I know ..but wearing face mask was almost gone after a year of covid mandatory facemask.

Rarely people wear it anymore, but suddenly many are wearing it..it means that there must be something going on that I am not aware of...that what I want to know..what is going on

ASK for one - even a specific one. You will have it to hold and he will be able to "visit it" when he comes to see you - a shared emotional stimulation.

Sometimes you don't have the option to stay home. If I'm sick and I have to go out, I wear a mask. For example, if I'm sick and need medicine or food, I have to go out.
