Things you wish you could say

Yes, she is in a dog travel box and she hates to be isolated tonight. Tomorrow I will let her a small area in the garden so she can rest and see her flock at the same time. ...yes...I hate this part of keeping chickens the most...the guessing what illness, then the treatment, then ....to euthanize or not ...

Now if she has marek..then the rest of the flock?
Ran upon this while browsing. IF she has Marek's, then so does the rest of your flock. They will be exposed and at the least carriers. Just keep a close eye on her. If she starts dragging the leg, walking on her knuckles, lays with the leg extended in front of her or behind her and IF the other leg starts to show the same symptoms Marek's has to be considered. You won't know though unless you lose her or put her down and have a necropsy done. Try not to panic. Time will tell and life isn't over if she does have MD. It's just ....different. I have an article out there on BYC about my experiences dealing with the disease. There is life after you have Marek's in your flock.

My truck will be 28 years old in June. It gets 10 miles per gallon and requires 91 octane gas.
Do you live close to many amenity? It helps in time like this.
As for me, I live near the local shop, can walk there but up the hill so can not. I can catch the bus to the next shop, but can not carry all that grocery...

I am going to order my chicken feed today before the delivery fee rise. At the moment is A$10 per delivery.

Thank you, I read your article. I feel less panic now.

I wish that I can say she is better, but no, she is still the same as yesterday, her left leg collapses, she picks herself up and carry on.

Crop is not emptied, I will give her an enzyme to prevent it going sour and massage it.
