Yeah we are at 80%roos my wife was cussing up a storm yesterday about it until I told her that can be very normal from what I've read and people report from their hatch rates. Just sucks when you thing its like $10 per chick including the shipping and then I'm telling here its really $33 now cause of our luck.I hatched my own = 75% roosters!
Soooo true! You think st run or hatched eggs would be 50-50. NO! Learn to eat your roosters, NOW, or you will be over-run!Yeah we are at 80%roos my wife was cussing up a storm yesterday about it until I told her that can be very normal from what I've read and people report from their hatch rates. I'm read somewhere that raising chicken you better get used to death. Just wasn't ready for that initially until I think of the lady hen's I have. I don't want them making that experience I wouldn't wish it on either of my sisters or my daughter. So my hen's won't be making that experience either. Kinda the same way i think about the coop do I really wanna go in there barefoot or drink that water? It's how I motivate myself to do those chores.Soooo true! No rooster, do not know weather to be happy or sad! LOLI had a mixed bantam hen, and she would leave for days and show up randomly to eat. Turns out she had a nest of eggs she had laid in the woods, it was a miracle that no predator got her! None of her eggs hatched though, no rooster![]()
