Thanks! I do not give them treats every day with the meal worms I gave them a couple of tablespoons every other day or so, until I ran out, those are sort of pricey, I keep wild bird feed & will throw them about a cup full twice a week, they like the variety of seeds in that I google everything before I do it but I like this site better because I can converse with a real person who has experience not just some written rules for raising chickens.

Sounds like you’re doing everything right so far.

Although there isn’t really a right or wrong way; there are loads of different ways to do things.

That’s the other problem with Google. Everyone states everything as absolute fact and there are some very contradicting opinions on just about everything. It can get very confusing to new chicken keepers. I know it was for me.

That’s why I, too, like BYC.

Plus I’ve made some great friends.

Congrats, it's a boy! ☺ I ended up with 3 out of 4 chicks being male once and they all tried to peck a lot when they we're growing up. I had to find new homes for 2 after a few more weeks when the hormones kicked in. I do have a Polish hen that will crow if she's very upset about something- usually if I'm late letting them out or run out of birdseed!

trust me, Polish can get very moody at times, But they are just so cute I can't help myself but love them!
