So, I got my first chicks April 8th from Murray McMurray Hatchery, and felt very proud of my self for identifying their breeds the first day. Now I'm questioning my breed IDs lol. I ordered Australorp, Barred Rock, Bielefelder, Cream Legbar, Easter Egger and Silver Dorking. I'm positive with my IDs for the Australorp, Barred Rock, and Dorking (extra toes, super easy!) The other 3 are confusing me as they get older, so I'm going to list things out in bullet points and add LOTS of pictures, and hopefully all the folks here with more experience than me can help me out. I did check the box for substitutions being ok, when I ordered, so here's a link to the hatchery's breeds. https://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/chicks.html

Fancy
- Assumed Breed- Easter Egger
- Note- McMurray labels them Ameracaunas, their flock was established before the breed was accepted by the APA. I'm fairly positive they aren't mixing other breeds into their breeder flock like many hatcheries do with EEs, even though they aren't technically Ameracaunas.
- No muffs
- Quote from hatchery website for 'Ameracaunas': "Our birds have muffs, but not all will have beards."
- Recently has started to grow what looks like a crest, I am super confused
- Straight comb, I think?
- Second most friendly in the flock
- Started out with yellow chick down, and has turned silver
- Has a salmon colored breast
- Assumed Breed- Cream Legbar
- No crest (yet?)
- From my research the crest looks like it is a dominant gene, so possible that she got recessive no crest genes?
- Chipmunk pattern as chick, now patterned brown with orangey breast
- Straight comb
- VERY friendly
- Would sit on my head if let her (no thank you, no chicken poop in my hair thank you very much!)
- Has been second biggest chick, but is now tied for first if not the largest now
- Assumed Breed- Bielefelder
- Has gray legs, breed should have yellow
- Is this possible genetically?
- Brown chick, now patterned brown with very pretty orange neck and chest
- I think she has a straight comb??
- Least friendly (comparatively), but if others are hanging out on me/my lap, she'll come over to see what's up
- Loves to eat, she eats the most from what I can tell
- Has been the biggest chick up until now, Nettie is just as big atm
