Thinking about ducks!

That shouldn't be a problem, they won't be miserable outside after brooding inside if that's what you're concerned about. That's how most people brood both chickens and ducks and I'm sure other species and they do just fine :)

Ducks are fun. They are cute, and fluffy, and Beau-ti-ful

. And, contrary to popular belief, ducks are not stupid. Particularly if food is involved. Then, they will suddenly become Einstein-smart - as long as they get food.

And yeah, I agree with everyone above me, about imprinting. I'm not sure if my ducks were imprinted or not - they would follow me around, but didn't distress-peep if we left. They stopped following us once they grew up, but they still looked to us for treats, or cuddles, or whatever. Keep up the positive training, even when they grow up. It will benefit you. We taught our ducks to come when we whistled a tune - and only that tune. Other people on here have trained their ducks using words, like dogs! Duckies are very cute and smart, and it sounds like your'e doing your research
