Thinking about getting some geese... advice?

They do well, always foraging, I have 6 acres though so 2 don't make much of a dent, they spend most of the day in the pond
Good! Well, we don't have a pond, but they will have access to water of course and maybe we can set up a little pool for them. I've heard they don't have to swim just enough to get there heads wet and stuff? Is this true?

Mine swim quite alot, when they were young and not going in the pond they spent alot of time in the water bowls we had out for them. But idk if that's universal for all geese.

Speaking of ponds... one important question, will they fly to swim into the above ground pool we set up in summer? I have a bad feeling the answer will be yes.
I'm not sure, you may have to routinely put them in it at first and then I'd imagine they would get the hang of it on their own. My goose flies to the pond from the barn sometimes and vice versa

I was thinking more like keeping them out of it. The pool would be for people use, not the geese :). They'd have something separate and smaller.

Sounds like it won't be a problem.

Not sure about the "weeding" ability but I know mine graze all day and keep things pretty well mowed!
Not sure what your budget is for a pair, but you could look into Holderread farms or @Duck Buddies has Cotton Patch geese 🥰😍
They were originally bred and used to weed cotton fields, so that might be a great choice for you! Supposedly the can fly, but my gander has yet to get airborne.
