Thinking about getting some geese... advice?

So I think I'm going to order 10 White Chinese from McMurray hatchery, keep 4 and sell the other 6. I also decided that I do want a male so that they will have the ability to breed. So.. a few questions...

If I wind up with 1 male and 3 females, will the male breed all the females or will he 'pair' with one and leave the other two infertile?

If I had 2 males and 2 females, would the males and females pair or is there any chance I could end up with male/male and female/female pairs?

I guess what I'm asking is whether one male will be able to mate with multiple females.
I appreciate the feedback, thanks!

Not on purpose, no, but I wasn't opposed to some goslings as they come. Are males as aggressive as roosters? What is Metzer farms shipping like?

I just ordered three French Toulouse from Metzer....supposed to ship the 20th of this month. Shipping was $15, with a $35 'small order' fee. All in all it was $120 for three birds...which seems somewhat exorbitant, but I couldn't get what I wanted anywhere else within the next two months...so there it is.

I'm also curious about 'mean' males. I've read they can be. But I've also read it's ALL about socializing/interaction, and has little to do with the bird's natural temperament even.

i assume you have no other neighbors dogs cats or fox that come to your 2 acres ?? or you have a way to keep them where you want?? as they wander.. sounds like you want no meat just weeder's. well grass is also good food unless you just have weeds. i get geese to butcher and like them very much . Emden and touly's. get fat at end of year and protect chickens that get to winter

Okay! Thanks for letting me know!

I do have neighbors, and one of them has dogs. He keeps them in the fence most of the time, and the one that got out (and killed a few chickens) is no longer around. So hopefully that won't be an issue anymore. Hmm... wandering is not good. I've heard that they stay in the place where they have water though... so if I provide that to them I'm hoping they'll stick around. Plus clipping their wings... though I'd prefer to avoid that if possible.

Grass/weeds, we have both. The grass we have though I consider to be weeds, so that's kind of going to be their main diet. I am not so interested in meat, so I was thinking White Chinese geese, which are said to be the best weeders and also the best layers (I do like getting as many eggs as possible!). They will be living with the chickens.
