I currently have my chicken coop and run located under a large oak tree at the back corner of my yard so it is shaded all the time, but I was thinking about moving it to the side of the yard where there is more sunlight. My hens did not lay very well at all last summer but I'm not sure if it was because of not enough light or because of the heat. They will get more light on the side of my yard but the only shade is from the house. What do you think, leave it or move it?
