Thinking of buying these birds, what does everyone think? Worth $20?

Are they worth $20?

Not a clue here....but, look at it this way...

1) What would chicks of a similar breeding cost you and how much would you spend to get them to this age? (obviously they aren't newly hatched!)

2) How much do you honestly like (or love?) the looks of them?

3) Do you think they'll integrate well with your existing flock? Will they compliment what you already have?

4) What price can you put on the happiness having them will bring you?

Add it all up...I bet you come up with a total exceeding $20 if they are what you really want!

You put that in a way that makes a lot of sense. I do already have a lot of bantams, and if I can give these guys a good, safe home, then I will get them. She says she had more but the hawks have been picking them off. I don't have that problem here (counting my blessings!), and I'm getting a big kennel run soon so my birds won't be free ranging, at least not until I can get a place with a bigger yard, more acreage. For now though I am concerned with my birds getting into my neighbor's vegetable garden. They have discovered that they like the taste of pumpkin.

So I'm getting a big kennel, and I'll invest in another kennel soon to add on to it and make their run even bigger. I am hoping that these birds turn out to be sweet like everyone here has said theirs are.

Well i can tell that they are not D'Uccle, or even Millie fluer color.
They look wheaton a bit.

and yes that is a good deal to get 4 hens a roo for only $20.00
as long as they are pure.

Also OEGB are very nice and tame, at least mine are, mine will just sit where you put them, my wheaton girl loves to talk. They dont fight. they are very sweet.

I think $20.00 for 5 birds is a very good price. You would probably pay close to that for day olds right? Factor in the brooding and feed costs to get them to the size they currently are. Then you are way above $20.00.

They look like some of our game hens, so probably a mix of some kind. Even the standard hens are very small in stature. I think our games are beautiful birds.
