Thinking of getting swans-advice?

For quite some time I have wanted to get a swan or two. I have never had them and never been around them. I have done a little research on them. (Nothing extensive as I still have to convince the hubby ) My mom told me that they are mean. I just figure that they are like any other bird, some can be mean... Here I sit, open to any and all advice as I continue to consider whether or not I want to invest in one. Thanks!

I always recommend black swans as a.first time swan or if you have other fowl. They are fairly easy to keep and spend a lot.of time walking on land compared to other swan.
Mine.have been a joy...even when the one male becomes a.bit of a butt head.during.breeding season..mine are very interactive and.entertaining.. Talk to the breeder you get them from about diet and care. Everyone.raises.them a bit different so talking to the.breeder is best.
