Thinking of switching to verticle nipples. How do I train?

Make sure you buy an 11/32 drill bit, it's the recommended size and works the best, so they don't leak around the threads. Just drill the hole and screw them in leaving 2 - 3 threads showing, don't screw them all the way in! You don't need anything on the threads to seal them. Your gonna be real happy with these.

@blackdog043 thanks so much! I'm pretty sure I have a drill bit that size lying around. I shudder to think of those expensive waterers at the feed store that just hold dirty water! I am still upset about how I shelled out $30 for a 3 gallon size when I was a newbie. Ugh... Live and learn.

your taken a great step to clean water I have them in all three coops now and right now pvc feeders maybe switching how it delivered so do not ask yet but wouldnt trade my 5 gallon water for anything
