I'm cleaning out the LG and giving it a good cleaning-- I don't think any more will be hatching.

I have one customer buying BR eggs this week then I can restock my incubator!!!!

OF course there are the sulmtaler eggs that arrived today.

My hatch is nearly complete. I originally set 9 eggs under my broody, one of them was broken by her or a pullet and contaminated 2 others that stopped developing. The other 6 hatched clean. Out of my incubator, 6/6 brown eggs hatched. One of my 'refrigerator eggs' is still trying to hatch, not sure if it will make it.

One thing that amazes me about using a broody hen is how much more lively the little chicks are that hatch. They are already running and exploring the world at just a day old.

I have chicks hatching under a broody too. I didn't think she was due to hatch until Friday so 2 days from now. So last min I decided to set her up a broody area and remove her from the rest of the flock before the chicks hatched. Well I set up her broody coop(rabbit hutch) and went and took her off her nest to get her eggs and low and behold they already started pipping. I was so mad at myself for taking the broody off the eggs. I should have known I could tell she was acting slightly different I knew it was getting closer. I hope I didn't shrink wrap any.

As for my turkey poults for this hatch, I have 6 poults out so far and 2 pips. The last egg is rocking so I expect all 9 eggs should hatch.

That would be awesome if it were possible but i haven't had work close to Arkansas in months so bummer

but it's OK it looks like things are finally looking up so I'm happy either way

yeah i had answered a free to good home ad on backyard chickens about 2 weeks ago and i didn't hear anything back until today. so i thought she had already found someone to take the chicks when they hatch but she just got back to me today and even if her egg's don't hatch one of the people here on the forum offered to sell me some. And I'll be getting the shipping quote sometime tomorrow and if that further doesn't work out i would have saved up a weeks worth of pay waiting for the Lady's chicks to hatch so I'll be able to order them on-line. So either way I'll be getting me some chicks one way or another
