Usually if you don't want to raise bottle lambs you want to go for the bloodlines that don't go over 4 or 5. But they give enough milk to feed 4 or 5 lambs as an average across the breed. And they are not as fussy to take care of as the E. Fresians (better health in general) you just have to remember for that kind of output you have to input the groceries. I have Finn/Shetland/Dorset crosses and some E.Fresian/Lacune/Dorset crosses (Lacune is a French milksheep). Now I have some crosses between the two.
