It's in the highest part of the air cell and it's only day 26.
if it is the upper back then it is just par of its body as the back will always "pop up" a bit as they position for pipping, the pip will be in the lower dip I would think, unless its malpositioned, which it doesnt appear to be!

I am so sorry for your losses. I am glad you have this HAL and all of the silliness that goes along with it to keep you occupied.

that's nothing!

when you start hatching 300 per bator and have 6 bators going at once.. let me know!

this is one level in one of my coolerbators.. when packed I can stack them 5 high...

so 5 dozen per level... x 5 levels.. x 6 bators ....
1800 eggs when they are stuffed....

and it takes me longer than 2 hours a day to turn them when I hit max capacity (which is why I don't max them out every month!)
I think you do need a straight jacket!!!!

Something with wild dogs like a wolf in the design--

Tell me,

What type of jacket should I have?

I not only fiddle with my eggs, I talk to them, I sing to them, I dance in the room with them!
Heck I even swear at them and sometimes I even draw silly faces on them!
So as you can see its not just my hands that are way way WAHHHHWAY too free!

LOL-- whatever works out the frustrations and proclaims the joys of hatching! lol

Oh happy Day!!!!! I

Question for @SilkieSensation or anyone who has had a broody silkie....I guess that means anyone who has ever had a silkie pullet or hen
lol.png
So...when I go to get her^^^ tonight will she show the same broody signs as I am used to....rapid fire buc buc buc, puffing up, growling etc or does silkie sweetness flop over into their broody behavior. If she isn't truly broody when I get her I will take another at the same time if she is broody I assume she will be so into setting and mothering that a friend will not be required but I am concerned b/c of mixed signals from my contact person. Anyway, should it be obvious?? Thanks a million!

lol.. it's not that easy!.. I don't use any kind of rails to hold the eggs in place.. plus I hate the idea of accidentally dropping the end of the cooler if I were to try tilting it 5 times a day!

with hand turning I can also rotate trays of eggs around to suit my needs.. so it all works.. it's just time consuming especially when I have them all maxed...

I think you are right, you don't need a jacket. How about a nice room with padded walls, and incubators that need their eggs turned?

oooh.. a nice bouncy room!!!
