I don't do the jackets.. i just end up gnawing right through those straps and play with the eggies all through incubation and hatch...so it's just a waste of a perfectly good jacket if you give me one....
besides.. all I would do if I had one would be to smack myself in the head with the buckles as I was putting it on.. and I don't need another black eye this year!
Its true, I found your dental images to prove truth to your claims, even chains cannot stop you, I think to you are in need of a padded or perhaps unpadded room for which to hold you at bay?

padded.. unpadded.. no worries which one.. I'll have fun either way!

Tell me,

What type of jacket should I have?

I not only fiddle with my eggs, I talk to them, I sing to them, I dance in the room with them!
Heck I even swear at them and sometimes I even draw silly faces on them!
So as you can see its not just my hands that are way way WAHHHHWAY too free!

no jacket.. just super glue a pencil between your fingers and you'll be good to go

that's nothing!

when you start hatching 300 per bator and have 6 bators going at once.. let me know!

this is one level in one of my coolerbators.. when packed I can stack them 5 high...

so 5 dozen per level... x 5 levels.. x 6 bators ....
1800 eggs when they are stuffed....

and it takes me longer than 2 hours a day to turn them when I hit max capacity (which is why I don't max them out every month!)
I think you do need a straight jacket!!!!

Something with wild dogs like a wolf in the design--
that sounds so very tempting...

Quote: Just because it's broody when you get it does not guarantee it will remain broody once it is moved to a new location. If it is broody & is in a nest that can be moved, move the entire nest with her for best results, then cover the nest & don't bother her for at least 24 hours. If she stays on the nest except to eat/drink/poop then you have a broody regardless of any other actions or lack thereof.

lol.. just lay it on it' side and don't worry so much!.. the little guy will balance it out
X 2...it will pip no matter which way you lay it.

Well, we have figured out the hard decision and I guess technically, I won't be joining you all this year. But I wanted to let u all know! :) My turkey hen is ready!!!! She's set well over 24 hrs, with some sort of break I'm sure although I haven't seen her out. Checked on her earlier to see if she was still laying & she has plucked her belly clean!!!!! Gonna set the eggs tonight when I have extra hands available!!!! Giving her 8 of her own and 7 Buff Orp eggs, that have all been incubated and are all due to hatch on the 25th! I will take the chicks when they hatch to sell, but leave her poults with her to raise. (BTW. No issues with blackhead in my county!) SOOOO excited!!

Here's Opps and it's shadow.

It's hard to see the shadow tho but I hope it pips on it's own and misses the veins.

And then my helper for working on my pen.

If we're wearing straight jackets, im making mine outta duct tape. Its the only thing that works good around here.

Excellent choice! Just remember it will REALLY hurt to take off when the month is over unless you line it. Just sayin'!
