~*Third Annual Cinco de Mayo Turkey Hatch-Athon*~ all poultry welcome!

Ill join the hatch-athon. Havent read the whole thread yet, but count me in for 12 Narragansett eggs. Will be throwing in some duckies with that hatch too.

Yesterday afternoon there was a notice taped to my door. It said that there will be an interuption of our power on Friday from 9:00am til 6:00pm! OH NO! I have eggs hatching that day and about 150 in the bator! I am looking for a generator to borrow for the day!

That bites!

The Turkeys I split were from ideal and were broad breasted. I think they run $5 each. We had to pre order them.

Wow, that does stink. well worse case scenario, go buy a bunch of hand warmers. Eggs are more durable than we give them credit. Maybe the utility company meant that the power will be shut off some time during that period. If that's the case it could be a much shorter time.

I had a similar situation happen last year but the guy just knocked on my door and said they were replacing some poles that day and my power would be out. I was heading out the door to work, I explained to him that I had eggs in the incubator and he said he would get my area done first and as quick as possible. He called me after they were done and told me the power was only off for 45 minutes and wished me luck with the hatch.

I'd love to join. I really want to hatch turkeys this year but need an enabler. I may have found a local source for Bourbon Reds, Royal Palms, & Eastern Wild types, but I want Narragansettes.

I think they were around $7.00 each, and they had 6 that were that same age. It was difficult.
$7????? Very good price. I would have bought them all!!
