Yes, other Hatchalongs have a lot of contests about timing and these are great fun...but this one is really laid back in some ways, while we're high strung in others. Like those of us who candle every 2 1/2 minutes. And those of us who hatch any egg we can find if it'll cram into our incubators. And those of us who consider any heat source capable of maintaining a 98-99˚ temp a viable incubator...like a bra.

Yeah... we're a different crowd, I'd say!

I set three turkey pretties in the cabinet coolerbator!! Wish them fertility y'all!!!

For anyone seeking some seriously fancy chicken eggs to set next week, I am finally offering some of my chocolates on ebay. Just search for Chocolate and Ameraucana, Marans or Rocks.

You have any idea how hard it is not to hatch every last one???!!!???

Do the Chocolate Marans need to stay in a separate pen or can they be in the same pen with Blue and Black Coppers? What would be the breeding results? Also do you breed them for type or are you focusing more on feather color? They sound interesting!

Hi everyone. Just loaded up my incubator with turkey eggs. 3 oregon gray and 3 sweetgrass, and 18 mixed turkey eggs that the breeder was going to feed to her dogs....she said they are about a week old and so I got those for FREE!!!! Hope they hatch! This will be my first time hatching/having turkeys so I'm real excited. I plan on adding a few chicken eggs to the incubator soon to hatch out a few " turkey tutors".
