If you were near me, I'd sell you as many chicks or fertile hatching eggs as your heart desiredyeah i wish my feed store would keep their chicks in stock. i went today to buy some after getting a call that they got a new shippment last friday and they where already out. turns out they only buy 20-50 chicks at a time and someone always buys a butt load before i get there (that has happened 7 times now). I have been trying to get chickens since the begining of december for pete sakes!!i first tryed online and fell out of my chair apon seeing the prices. i tryed to get some from my grandma because she was lowsy with them, then they for the most part all got killed (but a lone rooster). i then tryed to get them from a not-so-local sancutary per my grandma's recomention from january onward and got the cold shoulder for a little over 3 months. Then i got angery and tryed hatching them out which none of the egg's hatched. And i finally went on crisglist and got a bantam pair which one was supost to be a hen but they will not stop fighting which is leading me to think i payed for two roosters
. I may never get the birds i want
. i just ordered some hatching duck egg's and when i get payed on monday i'm going to order hatching turkey egg's and if something doesn't give i'm going to save up my money until christmas and order ALL the birds i wanted this year for next year as my christmas present!!!![]()
Meyers is pretty good about stuff like that. I had 30 chicks die in transit last March. All frozen to death. I called and originally got just some customer service lady who said all she could do was give me a credit towards a new order and not even refund my shipping. I got a call later from someone who actually had power to do something and she gave me a full refund. I ordered from somewhere closer because I was worried about frozen babies again until it was nice and warm out, but I am still kinda bummed (a year later) about my little bantie welsummers who died in that shipment. They are one of the breeds I have wanted more than any others and I have not been able to get them since.Good news peoples!!! i called meyer's about the eggs and what i should do and the lady offered to send me new egg's or my money back!!!I dicided to get my money back so when i get payed next monday i'll be able to buy the chicks from them online with my turkeys!!

I have Poliskies (polish/silkies) popping leeft & right, ee bantams, crested ee & rainbow layers galore. PM me & we can see if we can find something to fit your budget if you want.
Anyone else wanting chicks, let me know. I have plenty!!
we ordered from www.Efowl.com the service was great and it was free shipping. you could always sell half the chicks on craigslist or some wherealready tried that. I'm the odd man out in my community for wanting "farm animals" heck we only have one feed store for 5 county's and most of those people at the feed store think I'm a joke for wanting such a small number (and they are mostly cattlemen too)
sooo cute
25 poults so far, love the color variety! 2 pipped too early and bled out, 3 are still working and nothing on the other 5 yet. Forgot how much we love them!
We lost a turkey hen last nightshe was broody on the neighbor & I couldn't find her nest. Followed the feather trail and found 4 eggs still intact, 5 feet from the property line! Can't wait until we improve the fence between us so they don't cross anymore. I threw the eggs in the incubator just in case. 3 poults under a different broody hatched today and another turkey has hatched 2 chickens (again!), it's a free-for-all out here! I moved 3 broodys to a broody coop today and have at least 4 more to move. Every year I say I'm going to be ready for this and it always takes me weeks to catch up. One of these days...![]()
