This brings me joy every. single day. :)

We have a Lakenvelder chick named Sally who loves to lie on her back on my lap. She does it without me holding her there, and she falls asleep like that.
Our Buff Orpington rooster also begs me to pick him up. He won't stare at me, because that's challenging me, but he gives me hinting glances until I pick him up!
Our Barred Rock hen, who is the lowest in the pecking order by choice, is always the first to get any treats that I give the flock. I'll come into the coop with the treat, and she comes running in, grabs whatever it is, and runs away! She will also jump up on my lap and do this if I'm not fast enough or am not giving her enough. Once she got a whole graham cracker!

I have a special pair of OE Bantams, the hen comes running to me when ever I say "What are you doing pretty girl" and she hops into my lap. The rooster sometimes will jump in my lap, but he always follows me. I'll say "Come on little man" and he'll start trucking after me. Or if they're out, he'll run and greet me.

Lil'Bit is slowly coming along, she's hangs closer to me but she still doesn't "want" to be picked up.

Love watching my standard Game hens, they're hilarious. Scared of the teeny chickens, very curious, mighty "hunters" of bugs, and they seem to really look at stuff and try to make sense of it. They were flighty for about a week, but now that they're settled, they're just hilarious to watch.

Lil'Bit antagonizes everyone, very playful little bird, and she'll fly up into the air, land in the middle of everyone, and send them all flying away. She shoots this way and that, finds herself "lost", screams her fool head off, and the rooster comes to get her.

I was worried they would fly over our 6ft fence, but so far they haven't shown any indication that they want to, they only stay on the side of the yard that has their coop, and they haven't attempted to fly over the perimeter fence.

Those game hens though, they can get some height, several times they were flying well over the height of the fence, but then they'd circle around, and land in the corner of the yard, then run back to their house.

For most of them this is the first free range time they've had. I really like to watch my happy chickens!

My roos for some reason like more attention than my girls. Georgie, the cochin roo loves when I hold him. He cuddles up against my chest and falls asleep. Then I have 3 oegb roos that like to be held like a baby, belly side up so their belly can be rubbed until they fall asleep. Of course some of my favorite moments are when my 'babies' take their dust baths, try to chase down a flying insect or when they chase me down when I have a bucket full of feed. It's amazing how the simple little things can bring joy every single day.
