Aw thankyou both! I'm glad you like her too (and PomPom) :D

Flump's actually going through a partial moult so I thought that would have put the judges off since her tail feathers were slightly scraggly but he still really liked her. I was bombarded with people asking if I was going to hatch chicks from her. It was a busy but rewarding day yesterday :th

I got some better photos of her today with her rosettes out of the show cage. She just took it as a chance to try and eat them at one point :lau

I honestly really appreciate all of the lovely comments. I'm sure if my Silkies had any idea what's going on, they would too :D

I was just so chuffed, I do feel like all the hours I've spent on them have now been justified. Some people think my Silkies are pointless but I think they're far from that and definitely worth the time!

Showing birds is definitely a fun experience regardless of the result. I've been to multiple and came back with nothing but it was just as fun.
It's also a good chance to meet other Chicken crazy owners!
I'd start with looking at if your birds meet the basic standards for showing. Have a search for some local shows too and enquire about them :)
