I saw a video awhile ago where a UPS truck pulled up to a farm house and the whole herd passed outI have a friend who had one for years. It was the funniest thing. Any loud noise at all and Rosie would drop like a stone.

I apologize, I’m not trying to mock your babies, it’s just something I’ve never seen in person. I’d love to have goats, hubby says no way.I have 6 of them ranging from 4 to 6 years old. They actually learn to "control" their fainting and only stiffen their back legs, rarely falling over at all anymore. We learned early on that it isn't all that funny once you learn the reason for it and don't allow anyone to purposely make them faint. They are embarrassed and scared due to their condition. I agree while amusing at first you see them when it happens and love them like children so it becomes more of a protective parent like attitude about it.
Don't get me wrong goats, all goats (we have other breeds too) do the "dead" lounging around with skill just as birds and other animalsI have looked out on many occasion looking for signs of life!
No, no apologies at all! I was just giving my experience and perspective. We got them for the same reason everyone does, entertainment! We just realized, even my husband who is much less sensitive than I am, quickly came to the same conclusion.I apologize, I’m not trying to mock your babies, it’s just something I’ve never seen in person. I’d love to have goats, hubby says no way.

If you really want goats... do what I did on getting my 3rd and sneak it home when hubby is on a business trip. Chickens and ducks are gateway animals you know....I apologize, I’m not trying to mock your babies, it’s just something I’ve never seen in person. I’d love to have goats, hubby says no way.

And fainters are great because they can't jump and escape like other breeds. Very very easy keepers and so affectionate!!
I'll look for some "dead" goat pics to post!
Do it. Eventually he won't even noticeI also want ducks, I’m a lost cause![]()
My husband has absolutely no idea how many chickens are in our backyard. Truthfully, I don't know myself. I just count them in groups and never add the total. That way when asked, I can just say "I'm not really sure."I also want ducks, I’m a lost cause![]()
