This chicken is not dead

This starling is not dead, just taking a sunbath! They invaded the yard every afternoon and while they’re annoying bc they get into the chicken feed, they’re quite entertaining.

I have never seen a wild bird sunbathing before!

Seem squirrels conked out on the front deck hahaha and raccoons also…. But not wild birds. They must feel very safe in you yard.

See and I’ve never seen squirrels napping around here!!

I think the starlings are brazen, but it doesn’t help I have an “endless” supply of chicken feed and water for them 🙄 Plus I’ve been running a mister on days in the 90s for the girls, well the starlings really love that and the puddles to play in.

Oh I just remembered, I do have a picture from earlier this year of a few sunbathing in the yard. Probably the same bunch haha.

Your starlings are much lighter in colour than the ones I have here. Also here they are very skittish and don’t hang around.

Here is another not dead not chicken

I wish she wouldn’t sleep practically in the aisle way

The ones here are much darker too but not very skittish. I used to have one that would come in through the kitchen window and hop around checking what other food was available before stealing cat biscuits - it soon got used to me enough that it'd stay in the room while I was there and even eat crumbs from my plate if I let it.
