This chicken is not dead

She also got stuck in a fence, but the tree tops that. (Please hope I didn't jinx it...)

As for sleeping animals, I have to watch to make sure they're breathing/moving.
Then I can relax and find them cute.

It's just scarier with horses since they can't be down too long. (Except for the foals...)

Reenie’s spends a good 35 to 40 min a couple times a night sleeping. Always has - makes me very jealous- wish I could sleep so soundly.

It was stage trials here today.

So glad this thread is still going with pictures of un-dead chickens. No matter how many times you see it, they sometimes make your heart skip a beat.
Today my Polish Martina had her face straight down in her bathing hole and stopped moving. I thought she suffocated
OhMaGosh! THAT would have given me heart palps!

Thanks for the chuckle! My Polish Roo does this also - and sleeps like that on the roosting ledges at night.
 
It’s always that way isn’t it? They give you a coronary then run off to play - just like kids!
I picked my youngest up from the after school program years ago, and the teacher asked “Was her tooth loose when she came to school?” No ma’am it was not. My daughter was “learning” how to dribble a basketball, and was thrilled it came with cash from the Tooth Fairy 🙄
