She's a White Plymouth Rock. She stays quite clean, especially during dry years like this year.

I has a failed to thrive limp chick, I refused to let die. I packed it around 2 whole days dipping it's droopy beak in egg water, and petting it's head to stimulate its brain. It did survive, and when it laid its first egg, I was so proud, and her hench hen too.

Good for you! Not too many people try ao hard to keep our feathered friends alive when they are chicks. You are a hero
