Awesome coop at an awesome price!

What kind of job does your DH have that he has access to such fine free materials? I would like to go to that type of place and beg for some myself!

Must be my lucky day!!!! My friend that raises game birds stopped by and I mentioned I was going to need to build some more coops. He had me come over and I got a 1/2 truck load of birch plywood remnants he was going to burn!!! He also gave me three brooder boxes to go with it.
Now just need a plan................

nccatnip...thats great!! We went yesterday to my sons...he works in construction...and had saved us a FULL truckload of plywood. Some are odd shapes...but several are half sheets! I am soooo excited! We have a LARGE pile of styrofoam insulation, we plan to put in between the 2x4 walls, and put the plywood over it. This will make for great insulation.

Dawn...we used 1/4 in hardware cloth over the windows....your right, it IS better for protection.

Hay Deb, nice coop, you are so lucky to have a handy man who will make these for you, My fellow is an engineer type and I am the one out the back with hammer, nails, drills and saw, and splinters and scratches!

DSL is not availiable out here yet. I know, I know....backwards small hick town! LOL Heck, we dont even get cable out here!!

I live in the suburbs and am just dying to move some place more rural. Some place where roosters are aloud, I miss those guys! Although giving up my high speed internet might be hard.
