Let me start by talking about it's lack of gypsie ears, the comb should be black and a pea comb. Were I breeding them this would be a cull. I am not trying to disparage cackle in any way but this is an unacceptable bird.

That doesn't even look like a Sumatra... glad I didn't order some from there when I was tempted.

Honestly looks more like a black leghorn than a Sumatra. I have seen fairly good birds from Cackle though. My favorite hatchery. Almost looks like they put the wrong breed in, if they have black Minorcas.
 
I was very happy with the Sumatras I received from Meyers. Unfortunately a rescue dog took out that flock. Additionally they weren't heat tolerant enough.

Yeah. I was really hoping to get some Sumatra bantams, but it's the black that I'm particularly fond of. I found a breeder - Boggy Bottom Bantams - who sells hatching eggs, but their Sumatra bantams are in a mixed-color pen. After consideration, I've had to conclude that it's just too hot for them here, anyway.
