This got dropped off at my house last night - what is it & how old?

It's not a hawk - look at her feet. Those are chicken feet.

ohh we didn't see the feet, looked closer and you are right :)

Ok, so you think she is feathered out? She's just so....tiny. And last night, even with the heat lamp, she stayed sooo bunched up and puffed up like she was cold....

Ok, I have an update. I talked with the lady that I got this chicken from and found out that this bird is FULL GROWN!! She was born back in May or June. The previous owners had no idea what kind of chicken she is either.

I have posted her picture in several places online and even to a friend who has raised hundreds of chickens and even exotic birds. No one and I mean no one can tell what kind of chicken this is. I've been getting a whole lot of, "Umm, I've never seen anything like that..."

If the lady said she's full grown, what was she eating before? Poor thing, maybe she'd like a mirror so she wouldn't think she is all alone, and something to cuddle up to. Maybe she isn't cold just really scared???

I've had a couple of people on facebook suggest that she may be a mille fleur. She's inside the chicken run now in her own little enclosed area. So she can see the other chickens and they can see her but no one can get to her. She doesn't seem scared of them at all. I believe the other owners fed her regular crumble feed. I'll try to get more pictures soon.

it is my guess that she is malnurished, her body has not kept pace with her beak. she is likely older than you think. poor thing, looks a bit sad.
