Just wanted to say, my experience with
TSC's "sexed pullets" is NOT good. I have no clue what hatchery mine uses, but out of my 5 "sexed pullets", 3 were male and I am actually having slight doubts about one of my 2 females.
So now, to me,
TSC saying "sexed pullets" means "almost 100% cockerels guaranteed". LOL
LOL! Well, I got a barred rock out of the same bin and she IS DEFINITELY a pullet.
I've had RIR hens in the past, actually the same situation--from
TSC, and never had any question they were hens. This one's just...weird. I honestly cannot understand the whole position thing. It's weird, but that's how I sex my young ones--push down on their back, and if they assume the position--wings out, butt up--and then shake it off--female. If they fight it--male. This one accepted it readily. I've never had a rooster do that. It's just weird. LOL
