This is An SOS

How’s your Runner today? @AmberLittlejohn
Shes doing well. Eating minimally but drinking plenty. We brought her two girlfriends in and set them up in a pen beside her. We cleared all the mucus out of her eye cavity and can now see her drawn in milky white eye. It's clear to us now she was somehow impaled in her eye but are still so confused as to how that happened. She's being very tolerant of treatment I think it helps her feel better. We put in a vet request for meloxicam hoping it will be approved.

I hope you can get the meloxicam that will help her a lot. I am glad to hear the eye is till there. Hopefully she'll continue to heal and have some sight when it's all over. Maybe she injured her eye before being put inside the coop for the night?
Thanks for the update!

It's a complete possibility that she injured it that day and I just didn't notice it till the next morning. We put them up every night at 9 when my son goes to bed so it's already dark outside. They are normally already in the pen and we just refill waters and lock them up.
We are hopeful for sight but don't think there will be any sight. It looks pretty awful.
The good news is even though she's not eating her feed this girl isn't turning down any scrambled eggs, apples, peaches, or tomatoes. She's not wild about blueberries and picks at lettuce. But the good news is she's eating! :woot
Thank you so much for checking up on her :D

Wow you are an awesome ducky parent. I am glad she is starting to feel better. Poor baby. How are you feeling?
Thank you so much! I've felt so terrible over this. Very guilty because I have never had anything like this happen to an animal of mine before.
I'm feeling okay! I have an induction scheduled for the 15th of August in case our little girl decides to hang out long term. Thank you so much for checking in on us. Absolutely love this community y'all are awesome!

@casportpony what happens to an eye that has been injured like this? That’s great she is eating gotta keep up her strength and boost that immune system.
I can get another picture next eye flush to give y'all an idea of how it's looking now.
