This is Creature. What is Creature?

This chick has alluded me since they hatched on March 25th. I know they're a Polish mix. I assume crossed with either Maran or Cochin because that was the only feathered leg breeds in the mix. I know it's probably not possible to tell what they are yet but man, I really want to know. I love this weird chick, they're very calm and 'polite' so I thought I'd get some more input on what they might be.

I'll guess Polish/Marans cross. I would expect to see more leg feathering on a Cochin cross.

Thank you! That makes sense as I have a Cochin mix from the same hatch group and she has a ton of feathering on her legs. Gonna keep my fingers crossed that Creature here is a pullet.

It is most likely crossed with a Cochin due to its bobtail. Especially since you just mentioned there is Cochin present in the hatch.

Ooooh! I didn't know about the bobtail! I know there were both cochin and maran hens/roos in the flock but that's about it.

I really hope it's a pullet, too! Regardless, I'm going to keep her until I know for sure either way so I'll definitely update this thread when I do.

Update on Creature: Still don't know what they are! They're now 12 weeks old. Can I get a guess on their gender? Because I'm completely clueless! I don't even know where to start with them.

Sorry, I still have no idea. Can you post some pics in natural daylight showing his/her body and feathers from the side? Wondering if there's male specific red on the wing bows or hackle/saddle feathers starting. Brighter pics would help.

Waddles and comb look pulletish. Can you move the head poof out of the way and take a pic of the entire comb?
