Sorry, I still have no idea. Can you post some pics in natural daylight showing his/her body and feathers from the side? Wondering if there's male specific red on the wing bows or hackle/saddle feathers starting. Brighter pics would help.

Waddles and comb look pulletish. Can you move the head poof out of the way and take a pic of the entire comb?

I would really love them to be a pullet, they're such a strange chicken, the slow feathering has been making me concerned.

Looking like a pullet to me - comb growth and no wattles say pullet. I don't see male specific red, male feathering, or other definite indicators of male-ness.

Please do update in a month or so, now I'm really curious what she'll look like full grown. Love that tail and head poof!

I believe it is actually a miniature emu. Very, very rare breed......

Hi! Creature is now five months old! She's definitely a hen but other than that, I still have no idea what she is! I love her, though. She's lost all her white feathers but still has feathering on her legs. I thought I'd post some pictures for everyone wondering what the heck she is.

She sure is interesting and that blue-black sheen on her feathering is really pretty, kind of like a raven or a grackle coloring. Has she started laying? I'd be interested what color eggs she has. Thanks for updating!

She has such a sheen on her! Very shiny. But she's not laying yet though her face is getting a lot more red now. I'm expecting her to start next month but I'll definitely give another update then! It's been really fun watching her grow.
