yes, Tylan injectable was suggested to me also. I can't really separate him from the flock for the same reasons already stated. However, we have treated the flock with Duragard, something you can use to treat the flock monthly, with no harm and no effect on the eggs. So we will plan on doing that as it does work well.
yes, I read on here that Cipro and Baytril are the same. I think either the Cipro we had was losing it's strength (I''d had it for awhile) or the reintroduction of it was enough to push him over the top. This evening at dinner he looked great...beautiful normal looking eye with a tiny knot under it. I will give him the Cipro, for several more days. We have had a very severe winter here (lots of us can say that) and I think it was just that the flock used up all their immune resources dealing with it for so long. We have snow and cold today but supposed to be much warmer next week. and yes, we always give the flock ACV periodically, as well as Turmeric and vitamins periodically too.
