This is just horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I am no detective but can say with surety that whoever stole them knew the situation there. They knew the number of birds and the rarity of the breed as well the best time to steal them. They knew where they were located by what looks like a farm set up. I also believe this wasn't a spur of the moment idea this was a planned out event. They were stolen because the thieves knew what they were stealing, that they were just not run of the mill chickens. What slime.

I dont know these people that lost their birds but my heart goes out to them. Yesterday after I was sent the link and read their add. I sent them an email stating I have 4 hens and a roo of the same breed and offered to mail them a clutch of hatching eggs free of charge. In their reply, luckily tho they had already hatched chicks from the stolen flock and have them to raise so declined my offer. I still have many orders to fill locally on chicks and am booked still until May so I wouldn't have been able to send them a clutch until then anyways.

I've had dogs stolen...but the idea that someone would steal chickens is heinous...it isn't like it's a huge money maker..I dont' know about you but I spend way more than I make...

Wow, that's awful! Those are simple magnificent birds! Unbelievable what one will do.
