Is there a way to break this?? I will probably go out there once dark sets and toss them all in but I don’t want this becoming a habit I live in the woods and with winter approaching predators are looking for a extra food! 😬 Side note: the guineas pick and choose when they go in it’s a gf/bf pair and she doesn’t go anywhere without him. I’m not worried about them because they’re big enough and can fight back lol.

Just continue to put them up at night. Make sure you have enough ventilation in the coop or else they will continue to roost outside.
Ventilation through most of the coop is fine but they tend to huddle in a tight corner in between a wall and the nesting boxes so maybe that corner could get blocked off 🤔 those chicks are 3-4 months younger than the rest of the flock and they seem to have opted to form their own mini flock instead of joining the others I notice it when they free range that they actually actively avoid them even when the older ones aren’t paying them any mind.

Mine refused to roost any where except on the roof during the hot nights. Unfortunately quite a few of them died when a predator came and they where not in the safety of the inside coop. I lost my ducks to.

Normal, they won't be part of the flock until they start laying.
How long have chicks been with older birds...
....did the sleep inside of coop before??
What does coop look like inside?

Ya I was woken up the next night at 3am by my rooster screaming! 😬 everyone is accounted for and unscathed so I’m guessing whatever it was was scared off or my rooster was just over reacting 🤷‍♀️ But it officially has me paranoid about locking them all up at night (minus the guineas). I was fully prepared for the predators to start really showing up once it got chilly and they would be getting hungrier I was just too lazy to put them away that night and I almost learned my lesson the hard way!
