I can't believe it!

It was so delicious. Best egg ever.

I love my chickens 10x more now, haha. It was a double-yolker too!

The yolks were so orange, and not that icky yellow. My lil brother is now checking every hour for more! I heard them being extra loud in the coop yesterday, but I never thought *this* was the reason! i am soooo jealous, still waiting for my little ladies to give me an egg... spoilt them with pomegranate seeds today hoping they will repay me? fingers crossed! not expecting a double yolker though!! you have every right to be chuffed!!

Thanks everyone!! We've got a total of 3 in 4 days so far. I can't wait for the others to start laying

also a question- the darker the chicken, the darker the egg? I've noticed a very, very slight difference in egg colors. Once is very slightly darker than the other. Maybe we've got 2 starting to lay? Only time will tell.

I still get so excited when I go out and ask the ladies, "Did you give me an egg today?" and then look inside and... yes!

Congrats!!! My leghorns just started to lay their little white eggs. I still gasp every time I see one

Mei & Popcorn, you'll get eggs soon, believe me! Just keep counting up the weeks (they lay around 20wks old). I was only expecting eggs in about 2 weeks, but one of my girls decided to start early! It will all pay off once you bite into that first egg, they are SO delicious (and worth $300 in startup costs, truly!). You'll get there, be patient and your ladies will reward you
