I hope so! We're just so frustrated, as he paid extra for a fast delivery and they sat on the parcel for 3 (will be 4 after today) days, because they couldn't do their jobs properly. And with every day that passes, their hatchability drops. Well, I'm getting 18 eggs, so hopefully I'll get enough chicks out of them to make up 1 or 2 breeding pairs, so I can make more

DS is very exited. I'm still in denial about this. It will probably sink in when I candle in a few days and see the babies in the eggs... I had a read through @Rammy's KC hatching thread this morning to see the little ones and get an idea of what to expect. I've never, ever been this unprepared for a hatch, ever. Right until I got the eggs I didn't even know what breed they were Thankfully I have 4 weeks (- 1 day now) to prepare!

Such exciting stuff! I'll live vicariously through you Sumi.

A nerve wrecking 5-day wait later the courier FINALLY delivered! 18 Andalusian eggs settling down before I set them tomorrow. The breeder did a fantastic job packing them with loads of bubble wrap between each box and toilet paper around each egg. They are cold to the touch, but apart from that they are fine. What the insides look like time will tell... The oldest egg according to the dates on them is 18 days old now, so fingers, toes and eyes crossed for these guys!

Detached air cells in a few of them... I cut the bottoms out of the egg cartons, so I can incubate them in there for the first 18 days.

I'm going to candle the duck eggs a bit later and will try for pics.
