This is what happens when you keep a goose in the house! *newER pic!*

Not only does she need to exercise her wings - she needs to be comfortable and relaxed so she can gain her strength back. Has she shown any signs of wanting to be in water? She doesn't have angel wing - she's just too weak to hold them up properly. In this case the less you mess with her the better off she'll be Especially in these next few days.

What a beautiful place to recover in. This is why I can't raise chickens. I had the same issue when I had lots of cats....It was very hard to trust that anyone would take care of them as well as I did!

I gave her one of the concrete tubs and she's bathed 2 days in a row. She moves very slowly. I let her get into the the garden and do as she will- there are lots of veggies that I just didn't get to so she's got quite a salad bar.

I bet if things keep going as they are - she'll be stronger in a couple of weeks. If she's bathing it's nothing but a good sign. She's moving slow because she low on energy. With exercise, sunshine, fresh air and good nutrition she'll show improvement right along. Is she starting to preen her feathers more often? If so - she cares about herself and keeping herself up- another good sign!

There is no way she should ever have another goose. What have you told her? I would be sooooooo tempted to tell her that she should never own an animal ever again and that she should be arrested for animal abuse, but of course, I wouldn't say that. I would tell her that I will not be selling or trading anymore now or in the future.
