This Isn't What It Looks Like, Right?? (I hope!) Poop Pic--WEIRD

The "capsule" was almost 3" long and seriously looked like a cocoon the color of old spaghetti sauce dried on a plate. Just bizarro! I re-wormed him just in case it was something alive in that thing. Ick and double ick!

It kinda reminds me of lobster. Maybe a frog leg, as others have suggested.

Oh so gross! So how often do I need to worm my birds? I haven't seen any evidence of worms in their dropping.

I consulted someone who knows far more than I do about this stuff, someone whose opinion carries a lot of weight with me. Here is part of his answer, which I'm posting for educational purposes; I'm sure he won't mind. I would never have guessed this! Interesting!

"Sometimes for whatever reasons, Gizzard Worms being one will cause the lining of the gizzard to slough off, Or if it was about dime size in diameter it might be some type of cecal core, I've seen chickens that had Cecal worms and the lining of the cecum would be really thick, This may be the case and its just a cecal lining that has sloughed..I don't think it's anything that he's eat..."
