This little chick was trapped underneath a waterer

Hi. Ok, I work at Tractor Supply and we just got baby chicks in. Tonight I picked up the waterer in the pen and my coworker cryed out. I looked and the guy who watered them this morning had put the waterer on top of a chick. It was dead. Then I looked at the waterer which I had set down on the ground and there was another chick trying to get out from underneath it.
I would report the guy to the boss... and if the boss doesn’t do anything then go to head office and report the boss and the guy... and if they don’t do anything report the whole company to who ever your animal welfare people are....you have to do what is right by the chicks.... they can’t speak up for them selfs....

A chick needs water, chick crumble and warmth and a day and night rhythm after a week old.

Good luck with the chick. What will you do when it is fully recoverd?
As much as I'd love to keep him, I cant. I live in a mobile home park. And I have a 22lb cat who's been meowing at the bedroom door all night. I'll be returning the chick in the am. I brought him home because anything that survives being trapped underneath a waterer for 12hrs WANTS to live and I wasn't going to just put him back in with the others. He couldn't even stand. Now he can. He's still trembling a little, but he's much better.

I don't know but, I haven't seen it as much. I can say that. I cleaned all those little chicks. My husband thought I had gotten lost. Lol. My heart wouldn't let me leave them. It was so bad. I hope your chickie finds a forever home, and does well. Good for you for saving it. Yes, please... When you get to work... Keep him from the babes. Be well, and good luck.
Thank you and you too! I have good news! He's standing without being wobbly. He's chirping up a storm. He actually ate some of his layer crumble. I think he is going to make it!

I hate tractor supply. They never do their chicks right. Most have pasty butt so bad. I was in my local tsc and pulled them out myself, and cleaned their butts. I must have been there 2 hours. The manager threatened to call the cops. I asked him to please call, and while they were at it, I would call the local humane society. It was horrible. They are better this year but, I hate the way they treat them.
We got a "California Tan" that had a marble size poop stuck on it's poor lil butt
